The Black Arts Festival Storytelling Event will be held at the Kalamazoo Central Library at 6:30 p.m. in the Van Duesen Room, located on the third floor, featuring Ivory Williams with headliner Laron Williams.LaRon is a nationally acclaimed, award-winning storyteller. His music-filled, highly participatory performances present a dynamic blend of original and traditional tales crafted to help improve literacy, encourage community, foster cooperation, promote peaceful conflict resolution, build self-esteem, and deepen the historical understanding of the American ideal of democratic inclusion. This event is partially funded by a grant from the Michigan Council for Arts and Cultural Affairs, the Michigan Humanities Council. Admission is FREE
